ACCESSIBILITY
Inclusive Tourism is all about making it easier for everybody to visit. At Yondah, we are making changes that will enable more people of all ages and physical abilities to use and enjoy our facilities with their families and friends. When tourism is inclusive, everyone benefits!

TRAVELLING
On the Road – There are accessible toilets at Port Wakefield, Port Clinton, Ardrossan, Minlaton and Warooka. For precise locations, check the National Public Toilet Map.
On Arrival – Yondah is accessed from the main gate via a graded gravel track that is suitable for standard cars and small buses. At the entrance to the house, there is a large gravel carpark with room to turn around, and parking for 3 to 4 vehicles. Access to the house is via a ramp directly off the carpark on to a large deck which leads to the front door. There is a small lip at this entrance, and all other external doorways that may require a low safety mat.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
The house is single level with a spacious and uncluttered layout. The kitchen features a low tabletop with space below, but the pantry is narrow and therefore not easily wheelchair-accessible.
The 3 bedrooms are very spacious and feature queen ensemble beds (750mm high). In one of the bedrooms, the queen bed can be split into 2 single beds. The 3 bathrooms are very spacious – two of these feature a roll-in shower with no hob, partial shower screen, mixer taps and a moveable shower rose. Portable ‘suction’ grab rails are available on request.
OUTSIDE THE HOUSE
There are several outdoor decks, and the largest of these provides plenty of circulation space. The surrounding grounds however may challenge people with reduced mobility as the terrain consists of gravelled areas, grassed areas and sandy soil. The beach can only be accessed down a cliff via a steep set of ‘rustic’ steps.
